The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic money won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
