The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
